Make Money with My Home Page Friends

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

I have been using My Home Page friends for a while now. I first heard about it at Melvin’s blog. I signed up immediately. I wasn’t using it till a few days ago.

What is My Home Page Friends?

What is My Home Page Friends actually? My Home Page friends is a paid to search program that pays you to search. The search engine they use is Yahoo! so you can be sure that the results are of high quality almost as good as Google. Basically, whenever you use their search, they get paid by Yahoo! and with that they share 50/50 with their users.

How does it work?

Whenever you use their search, you get paid 0.01 pound (where is the pound sign on the keyboard?). That means more cents for each search. You can select the way you want to be paid : either through PayPal or through your Bank account. They pay you every 30-45 days after each month. e.g. For searches in January we pay you in mid March. There is a £20 minimum payment, so if you have not reached this amount in any month they will hold the payment over to the next month. Plus you get paid for your referral searches too. Here is a chart showing what you earn:

How I’ve been using it

I have been using this program for quite a lot of times and I really like it. The image shows that I have made only 36 searches but while I was writing this post, I searched using it over a 40 times. Maybe I’ll use it for all of my searches from now onwards.

My Home Page Friends

My opinion

So here’s my opinion. I like it and recommend that you sign up. With this program I guess that I can make about £10 a month (had to use html character entities to show the £ sign). If you wish, you can sign up as my referral.

Extra Note - I currently have 22 subscribers. Help me achieve the goal of 250 subscribers by signing up for my RSS feed or email subscriptions. If you have not subscribed yet, subscriber now. Thank you guys.

This is a great program. I am starting to see some success with it, and my referral list is growing also.

I don’t quite understand why Yahoo will pay them to use the search feature.

But it is at least worth a look. Thanks for the review.

Ive been using it since the day they launched it.

@Henry - They used to use google when they went by the name ‘My Search Funds’ and they had hundreds signing up, so to beat their major competitors google and MSN, yahoo decided to sponsor them & That was the start of HPF. if you have a look, their still developing their site so it looks kinda shabby.

well hendry lee… its quite simple actually. Yahoo gets paid for every impression that the advertisements on their search engine recieve, so that is how they make profit in which they share with everyday people like you and me.

Btw i want to make a couple notes or revisions to this fellow post, that may reassure you of how GREAT this service really is. The first is that he had made 36 searches, but only 0.06 pounds. that is because he only made 2-4 searches the day before but his other 32-34 he made the day he screen printed. They add the new balance the day after your searches are totaled for one weekday. I would also like to mention that it isnt just 0.01 pounds for each search its actually a random interavel ranging from 0.01 pounds to 0.06 pounds. Which helllooo people, incase you didnt know that converts to 2-12 cents in american money when the money is transfered PER SEARCH!!!. This is not just a good service, this is a GREAT service to be a part of.

The third and final revision i would like to make to this nice mans post is that they pay direct to your pay pal OR send u a check in the mail. If they send it to your bank account i am totally unaware of that, but i have been a member of this service much longer then this user. He posted this blog when he had only completed 36 searches so he was still figuring it all out for himself. However, take it from me… this service ROCKS.

If you would rather be searching partners and make money together with a more experienced user my refferal link is here, and PLEASE do use my link. When u make money, i make money etc.

I have been using this program since just before it change to Home Page Friends and I personally preferred the Google results than the Yahoo results.

Because of this I’ve not been using or promoting the service heavily but I still have the affiliate link on my sites and I still perform the odd search here and there and the commission earned seems to keep creeping up slowly.

As per Christopher Clayton’s comment, I have also noticed a few things over time which have suggested the site is still in development and therefore I’m not sure if the site works as claimed but so far I’ve not had any experience to tell me it doesn’t. I will wait to see if the first payout goes smoothly before making any judgement on that.

If the site does work as claimed then it would be a good one to belong to in order to get a little residual income. A few searches here and there may not get you very much but getting anything is better.

You have nothing to lose as it is free to try and if you don’t like it then you can easily switch back and just forget about it.

From the “friends” site,

How do I get paid?
Sign in to your account and tell us how you want to be paid: either into your bank account or via PayPal. We pay you every 30 days, 45 days after each month end. e.g. For searches in January we pay you in mid March. There is a £20 minimum payment, so if you have not reached this amount in any month we will hold the payment over to the next month.

So you think you can earn 10 pounds a month…
just started? didn’t read? ok…

Look,

all I’m trying to say is that your excitement, (just like mine, yes I didn’t read also, I’m a hypocrite, with poor english) can give you illusions. before you try a site like this, which I bet works for you posters, see if it will work for you. ‘Cause maybe it doesn’t. Like me. It doesn’t work for me. I don’t have the time to use a search engine, that in my opinion isn’t any good, for a lousy estimated (read site) 50 pounds a year. That’s just not a lot of money and can’t be considdert as extra income.

For you people who do have the time and patience to ad other people and stuff. Ik hope it works for you, and that it makes you a good load of money.

I salute you. But read before you jump in…

that’s I wanna say.

That’s all I wanna say.

Just a warning to you guys about this site. I use search engines *a lot* in the course of my day. Whenever I do so using MHPF they send me a nasty letter saying that my searches have been invalid, are in breach of their terms and condintions and they will not be paying me for them. Considering that my searches were completely legitimate it seems that this is a ruse that they use to limit your potential earnings and also a handy way for them to make money off of a link you click on after a search without them having to pay you for it. I am currently in the process of making an official complaint about them as they have in no way specified what constitues a breach of T&C’s on their webpages and they are also deliberately misleading people by not clearly stating the limit peramiters on their pages either.

Be warned…if they send you that nasty letter more than three times they then cancel your account and keep your money earned.
