Its Linkbombing Time!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

This is a my first link love post. I’ve linked to some really cool blog posts. Hope you enjoy it.

  1. Carnival of Making Money Online - The Carnival of Making Money Online is a revenue-sharing social voting site for bloggers who want to make money online. Up to 85% of ad revenue on each page goes to users! That is cool don’t you think. Well, not everyone gets revenue just for signing up. You have to be an active contributor to the blog. Go sign up here.
  2. Standout Out Blogger really stands out! - Tom is a fellow blogger from StandoutBlogger.com. He started his blog only a month ago and he is already making a big splash in the blogosphere. I really liked his post - My Blogging goals for July.  I have a feeling that Tom is going to be the next big blogging sensation. Tom, if you are reading this, please count me in as your buddy!
  3. The Real Value of Comments - Melvin is a great blogger who is one of my top commentators. I like his posts because they reflect something that’s unique to him. Melvin doesn’t drone about anything. He just writes what he thinks. Anyway, back to his post. In his recent post Melvin has written what he thinks about comments. Worth reading.
  4. Birthday Contest at Carl Ocab - There was a contest at CarlOcab.com recently. And it looks like almost everybody won. I won two prizes - One copy of Direct Response Templates and another one of a package of five reports, two of which have never been seen before. That’s about $184 worth of prizes. Thank you Carl for such a great contest.

Those are some cool links for you. Oh, and don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feed for a chance to get a free adspot on my blog for one month.

My Feedburner feed count dropped to Zero!

Today when I logged into my Feedburner account, I saw that my blog’s readers read count showed 0. I was schocked. I mean, all of my readers wouldn’t all of a sudden unsubscribe from my feed, would they? Hope they fix the problem soon.

Free Adspot for one month!

There is a new contest where I’m giving away a free adspot for one month on my blog. I’m giving away two adspots for a graphic-ad and four adspots for a text link ad on the blog for one month. The contest is ticket-based. So the more tickets you have, the better your chances of winning are.

To enter the contest, here is what you’ll have to do:

  1. Subscribe to my blog through RSS or through email and drop in a comment mentioning that you have done so. One ticket. (Compulsary)
  2. Add a link to this blog in your blog’s blogroll and drop in a comment mentioning that you have done it and the link to your blog. This one gives you ten tickets. (Optional)

Hurry, the contest closes on July 5th. I’ll be announcing the winners on July 7th.

School, stress and good news

Hello there guys. School just started about 2 weeks ago. Man! School is so stressful and homework is just inhuman. Anyway, enought of my ramblings. Today, while I signed into Entrecard. I saw the list of advertisers who were waiting for my approval. In the list I saw John Chow.

Well, A-listing bloggers like John Chow are advertising on my blog. Its just costs 16 entrecard credits to advertise on my blog, so get your space now, before its too late.

3 ways to get more Comments for your Blog

Have you seen that blogs like John Chow get over 100 comments for each post. I’ve always wanted to have such a huge number of comments on my posts. Lets see how a blog can have more comments.

  1. Use the Top Commentators Plugin - This is a nifty little plugin that lists commentators who have made the highest number of comments and links back to their blogs. This plugin really encourages people to leave a comment on your blog. If you want to tweak the comment a bit, have a look at this really nice tutorial by Shankar Ganesh. This plugin is a must-have if you want more comments for your blog.
  2. Invite Comments - While writing your posts, don’t put all of your ideas together leaving nothing for the comments. Ask questions to your readers, ask for their opinion and be open-ended.
  3. Make it easier to Comment - The main reason why many people fail to comment on blogs is because the commenting process is a big hurdle for them. Make the commenting process easier for them.

I’m sure that by following these tips you will get more comments on your blog. Do you have any ideas to get more comments? Give me your tips and ideas in the comments section below.

The No Budget Blog - Blogging without a Budget so that you can do it too!

I just created a blog on Blogspot so that I can start my experiment to make money from blogging with spending anything. I’ve chosen the Blogging Pro theme since it looks really professional. I’m not sure about what are going to be my blog’s income streams. Here are the services I’m thinking of using on the blog:

  1. Contextual ads - Google Adsense or Bidvertiser.
  2. In text Advertising - Kontera ( I’m not sure whether they’ll accept Blogspot blogs. Anyway, I’ll try)
  3. Referral Programs - I’m planning to use Chitika eMiniMalls, WidgetBucks, Amazon Associates and DealDotCom.
  4. Paid reviews - I’m going to use paid review services like ReviewMe, PayPerPost and Smorty.

That’s the exhaustive list then. However, my main goal is to teach other bloggers how they can start blogging without spending anything. If you have any suggestions for my new blog, then please give me your ideas in the comments.

Can you make money without spending it first?

Which was the first blog that inspired you first? For me it was Kirby. Kirby’s blog was my first blog to introduce me to making money through blogging. Kirby like you can see, has a free blog from Blogger.  Kirby has made well over $1500 from blogging alone. He did not buy any domain for his blog nor did he pay for hosting.

No budget experiment

I’ve decided to name this blogging project as the No budget blogging. I’ll try this for a few months and see whether we can really make money without spending it first. So please give me some ideas and suggestions in the comments below.

Help! I can’t Blog!

I’m sure every blogger gets stumped by this problem in their blogging experience and I’m no exception. For a few days, I just couldn’t get myself to write a blog post. I suspect that it was due to my laziness. Anyway, if you cannot get yourself to blog about something, I suggest you try one of the following.

  • Go visit some other blogs to get an idea on what to blog about.
  • Listen to some good music. Try to relax yourself.
  • Or just shut down the computer and go out and play. Honestly, how long have you been sitting in front of the monitor? Go out and enjoy yourself.

Well, I hope these tips help you when you just can’t get yourself to write a blog post. Give me your ideas of what to do when you can’t blog in the comments section below.
